Boreen Point

Lake House

Under Construction

This original two-storey brick-veneer Queenslander occupied a double block overlooking the serene waters of Lake Cootharaba in the Noosa Hinterland. Our intervention introduced two 200 mm off-form concrete wings anchored into the landscape, framing a custom fireplace and creating a grounded, textural connection to site.

To enhance spatial flow and establish a stronger dialogue with the land, we removed the upper level to form a dramatic double-height void, opening the home to light, air and expansive sightlines. The existing hardwood floors were carefully reclaimed and re-crafted into a grand internal staircase, now the sculptural spine that connects the living and entertaining zones.
